How to Support Your Student
In the Online School
Setting Up Your Accounts
You will be making two accounts.
You’ll need to create two accounts in the Online School (OLS)—one for yourself as the Learning Coach and one for your student.
You will create the Learning Coach account first.
Instructions were emailed from K12 and from TOPS
Look for an email from registration@k12.com titled “Welcome! Access Important School Account Info Here!” This email has everything you need to set up your Learning Coach OLS account.
- If you don’t see the email within 24–48 hours after your student’s registration is approved, check your spam folder.
- Need Help? If you can’t find your registration email, or if you’re stuck, tech support is available 24/7 at 866.512.2273.
Make sure that all K12.com and TOPS emails are approved for your inbox. We don't want you to miss any important communication because it landed in spam or junk folder.

- What link should families use to log into their OLS?
- Families should go to https://learn0.k12.com to access the Canvas OLS. This will route them to login.k12.com, but if they simply navigate to login.k12.com, they will likely not be redirected to their Canvas OLS.

If you have more than one student repeat this process for each student.
I fot an error message when I tried to log in the student account.
Potential reasons for getting an error message when trying to log into the student account are:
- Check caps lock
- Make sure typing username and password in correctly
- Sometimes the password requirements weren't followed correctly and it didn't accept the password you chose for your student,
- You can just step through the above process again to reset the password.
