A Message From Our Administrator
Happy April!
Thank you for those of you who brought your students in for Forward testing, and all our 4k-3 students who are doing the spring screener! We appreciate you!
As we approach the end of the year, it is sometimes challenging to get our students to focus. The sunshine and spring weather (should we have any!) are things we can enjoy with our flexible schedules-- but please prioritize staying on pace and passing in all of your courses. If students are having trouble with anything, please reach out (or for older students, encourage them to reach out) to their teachers. All of them have office hours and options for meeting with students as needed!
Have you had a great moment with one of our teachers? Please share with us so we can celebrate them during Teacher Appreciation Week at the beginning of May!

Thank you for sharing your students with us!

WATG Student Showcase
The Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted students (WATG) has a long commitment to showcasing the amazing talent of our students. This year we want to highlight our youth both on our website and as part of our annual conference.
With the advancement of technology submissions are open to examples of, well, everything (written work, spoken word, scientific experiments, visual and performing arts, athletics, etc).
Please submit student work via email attachment to watg@watg.org. We will contact you if the piece is selected.
Every Kid Outdoors provides each 4th Grader with a free pass to all national parks and federal lands and waters within the United States (every location has at least one place to visit within 2 hours of it)!
Check Out Wisconsin State Parks at Your Library program
. This program offers Wisconsin library card holders the chance to visit any Wisconsin State Park for free and introduce people to the library system and to Wisconsin State Parks. Each vehicle pass is valid for one day of the patron’s choosing. See if your local library participates!
Be sure to check out your local library to see what experience passes they offer. The link above is to Plymouth's library just so you can get an idea of what your local library may have!
Summer Reading Programs will start soon
While your local library is a great place to start (and often include fun rewards and performances), some businesses, such as Barnes and Noble, offer Reading Programs as well. Most begin on or around May 1st.
Don't forget that most libraries also offer 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, 200 Books Before Graduation, and Adult Reading Programs so you can lead by example!
Want to do something even more laid back? Do a Summer Reading Program at home! You can print off the packet HERE-they even offer some lists of suggested books by grade (scroll down to the bottom of the link).
OR, go digital using the Scholastic Reading Program at home.
Next Event is April 26th-registration required!

Non-traditional Learner Days at the Wade House
Advanced Registration is Required!
Learners of all ages will be invited to explore the horse-powered world of Wade House and Wisconsin in the mid-1800s. Upon arrival, visitors can step inside a reproduction stagecoach and learn about plank road travel. The horse-drawn world of the 19th century is on display in the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum - where learners will test their skills by building their very own model carriage. A horse-drawn wagon transports visitors across the Mullet River to the historic core of the site where authentically costumed interpreters, muscle power and waterpower bring to life the work of the blacksmith and sawyer. Guests tour the 27-room Stagecoach Hotel, which once served weary travelers along the Plank Road.
