CLEARWATER STEAM NEWSLETTER

This Saturday, December 7th, Clearwater was alive with excitement as 40 of our scholars participated in the Clearwater Science Olympiad! They showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills through engaging STEAM challenges like Clay Boats, Rubberband Catapult, and the Egg Drop. A huge thank you to our incredible Clearwater staff for their dedication in coaching and supporting the event—you made this day of discovery and innovation possible for our students. What a fantastic celebration of teamwork and science!

This past Tuesday's professional development day was a great success, thanks to the exceptional presentation by Alissa Stuart on Empowering Multilingual Learners: Strategies to Strengthen Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Alissa engaged our teachers with valuable insights and had them actively participating using wipebooks, making the learning both practical and interactive. A heartfelt thank you to our teachers for their receptiveness and enthusiasm—it’s inspiring to see how they’re already adapting these strategies to their grade levels and putting them into action. This collaboration is a true testament to our commitment to supporting all learners!

At Clearwater, we take pride in successfully integrating content to maximize learning opportunities. In Kindergarten, life science comes to life through art in the engaging Art Kindergarten PBL, seamlessly blending creativity and science for a deeper, hands-on learning experience.

There is so much learning going on every day at Clearwater - we don't want our students to miss a moment! As much as we like long weekends, missing a Monday or a Friday can have a big impact on students' achievement. We want to see every student at school, every day. Students earn Splash Cash for attending school each day, and DOUBLE the Splash Cash if they are at school every day for the week - including Monday and Friday.
