MAPS is currently accepting applications for our Summer Grounds Crew. We are looking for responsible, energetic, high school or college students and MAPS staff 17 years and older to keep our district's grounds functionally and aesthetically sound during the summer months. This crew maintains lawns, trees, landscape beds, retaining walls and athletic fields throughout the district.
Work will entail:
- Mowing,
- Weed and shrub trimming,
- Maintaining landscape beds and
- General Grounds Care
- Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and emptying trash receptacles
Qualifications:
- Understand and carry out both written and oral instructions,
- Knowledge of grounds equipment,
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. occasionally, and
- Cooperative working relationship.
Start Date: June 10th or sooner
End Date: Mid to late August
Work Hours: 7:00 to 3:30, with some flexibility
Wages: $15.00 per hour
