Dear Parents and Guardians,
Cool mornings and warm afternoons has been this week's theme. Regardless of weather students have been hard at work in classes. Multiple times each day I drop by each classroom, this allows me to get a sense of how things are going and lend a hand where needed. I can tell you from these visits that our students are settling in well to their routines and expectations.
We ended our week with a school wide Terry Fox run, thank you to all the family members that joined our walk this year.
As we near the end of September you can expect to start hearing from teachers about checklists, ISPs and other supports if your child requires them. These plans help us to ensure that all students are receiving the needed supports.
Next week is a busy one especially Tuesday. Tuesday is our first day of JK, our first hot lunch of the year (pizza sponsored by DRAX), Flag Football club for students that are signed up runs after school, and our School Council AGM is at 3:45. All interested parents and guardians are invited to join us at School Council, students are welcome to join their parents at the meetings as well.
Wednesday is our first Picnic in the gym, where all of our students eat lunch in the gym, parents and guardians are invited to come have lunch with their students as well.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Sincerely,
Alan Stoyles
Principal
