🌟🐮 OUR FFA STUDENTS TAKE CENTER STAGE AT THE BOARD MEETING! 💙💛
A big round of applause for a talented group of seven La Vernia FFA students who shared an outstanding presentation with the La Vernia ISD Board of Trustees as part of their FFA Agricultural Issues Forum! 🎤👏
These students brought an important agricultural topic to the table:
🐄 Should major livestock shows impose stricter rules limiting professional involvement in junior livestock projects?
Through their presentation, they highlighted a real-world issue facing the agricultural industry while demonstrating their research, critical thinking, and public speaking skills!
💙 We love seeing our students confidently share their knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and showcase what they are learning beyond the classroom!
👏 Great job to these seven outstanding students! We are so proud of you! 🐻

We are BEYOND excited to announce that La Vernia High School senior Brylee Mokry has been selected to represent TEAM USA in the prestigious Scottish Junior Golf Invitational! 🏌️♀️
Brylee is one of just 30 girls from across the United States selected for this amazing opportunity! This coming summer, she will travel to SCOTLAND to compete against the Scottish National Junior Team! 🌍🏆
She'll have the opportunity to play on some of the most historic golf courses in the WORLD, including the legendary North Berwick West Links, recognized as one of the top courses in the world! ⛳

Brylee, your hard work, dedication, and talent have earned you this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! You are making La Vernia, Bear Nation, and the USA PROUD!

Our Principal for the Day got to experience what it’s like to be in charge of La Vernia Intermediate—from helping with morning announcements and visiting classrooms to making some important “principal” decisions! 📚😎
We loved having our student leader join us for the day and hope they had as much fun as we did!

🚌💛 It's National School Bus Safety Week! 💙🚌
Our La Vernia ISD buses carry some very precious cargo every day—our students! Keeping them safe is a responsibility we all share.
🚦 STOP Means STOP! When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, drivers must stop and remain stopped until it is safe and legal to proceed.
🚗 Know the Rules! Whether you're traveling on a two-way road, a roadway with a center turn lane, or a divided highway, knowing when to stop can help prevent accidents and save lives.
👀 Stay Alert! Slow down in school zones, avoid distractions, and always watch for students entering or exiting buses.

📝 Attendance Reminder & Tip
If your child is absent, please remember that absence notes must be submitted within three days of the absence to ensure accurate attendance records and proper documentation.
