Welcome back, Pilots!

We are thrilled to launch the 2026–2027 school year at Norview High School. Our faculty and staff have spent the summer preparing for your return, and we are focused on making this a year defined by high achievement, strong community, and personal growth.

To help our families and students prepare for a smooth, confident start, please review these key expectations and daily schedules:

Daily Schedule & Morning Routine

  • School Hours: 7:25 AM – 2:05 PM

  • Doors open at 6:45 AM for early arrivals. Students must remain in the Commons area until 7:05 AM, when they will be released to their classrooms.

  • Instruction starts promptly at 7:25 AM. Students are expected to be in their designated classroom seats before the bell rings to ensure no learning time is lost

School Expectations & Campus Policies
  • Personal Electronic Devices Policy: In accordance with updated district guidelines, students are not permitted to bring cell phones or other personal electronic devices to school. Removing these distractions allows us to protect instructional time and maintain a fully focused learning environment.

  • Attendance: Consistent attendance is directly linked to student success. We count on our families to partner with us in making sure students are present and on time every day.

  • Dress Code: All students are required to follow Norfolk Public Schools dress code guidelines. Headwear, including hats, hoods, and durags, must be removed before entering the building.

  • Meals: Free breakfast and lunch are provided daily to all students.

We have high expectations for what our students will accomplish this year, and we are ready to support them every step of the way. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to make this year exceptional.

Let’s fly high and soar, Pilots!

Sincerely,

Norview Administrative Team
