Message from the Principal, Dr. Theresa Thao-Yang
Can you believe it? We have officially reached the home stretch of the school year! May is always a whirlwind of activity, and I am so proud of the energy and dedication our students continue to bring to these final weeks.
We kicked off this month with an incredible Career Fair Day, where students across all grades had the opportunity to meet professionals from a wide variety of fields. It was truly inspiring to see them exploring future possibilities and asking these professionals thoughtful questions. We also wrapped up MCA testing - I want to extend a huge "congratulations" to them for their hard work, and a sincere thank you to you for supporting them at home during these past few weeks.
Looking ahead, the fun is just beginning! We have several fantastic events coming up to celebrate the end of the year, including our HMong American Day Celebration, our much-anticipated Pho Fundraiser and the high-energy Sports Fest. More information will come out when we get closer to the dates. Thank you for your continued partnership as we finish this school year strong—let’s make this May one to remember!

Permission slips are due back on May 8th. Please reach out to your student's Foundations teacher with any questions you have.
Message from Xf. Morgan
Hello! We have less than 30 days of school left! I can’t believe it! The year has flown by, and there’s also so much more still left to do! I am excited to finish off the year strong with all of our students! Academics: Quarter 4 mid-quarter grades will be available on May 6th. This is a great chance to check in with your child about their grades. After mid-quarter, they still have time to get their grades up before the end of the year. Final grades for Quarter 4 will be posted on June 12th. Reminder: OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCHOOL SUPPORT: During School Peer Tutoring: Students can fill out a Google Form on the "TCUC Students 2025-2026" Schoology group to get homework help from another classmate. Tutoring is once a week on Wednesdays during Foundations. Students must sign up for every week they need tutoring. Flipside Planning for Success: Students can sign up for after school Flipside to get assistance with planning, goal setting, and homework support. The class is available Monday-Thursday from 4:10-6:00 pm. Bussing is available if needed. Congratulations! Congratulations to all of our middle school students that received Honor Roll for Quarter 3. Their names are posted outside of our office. If you are in the building, be sure to take a look! May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Mental health matters! Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. When we feel better mentally, we are better able to manage stress and challenges in life. Just like we do exercise or eat well to work on our physical health, we can do things to help our mental health. Talk with your child about ways that deal with stress, sadness, or other big emotions. What things do you do to deal with them? How can you do things together to make sure you’re taking care of your mental health? Here’s some ideas for positive strategies to help our mental health! It’s all about finding what works best for you! Transition to Middle School and High School 5th Graders 5th graders got to ask some of our 6th graders about middle school. It was a great chance to learn from students about what to expect and how to be successful in middle school. We will be learning how to look at schedules next! 8th Graders 8th Graders should have attended/connected with their future high school to register for classes. If they did not, students should connect with me, Ms. Morgan, or their future counselor to register. I will also reach out to students I know did not register to help them. Summer Opportunities You can still register for SPPS Summer Programs! Register for the grade your student is in now! You can find more information about summer programs here: https://www.spps.org/academics/summer-learning-programs/middle-school Summer Meals: SPPS partners with community sites to provide summer meals for children 18 and under. Career Fair - Friday, May 1!
We had our very first career fair! All students got a chance to learn from people with all kinds of different careers! They had a blast about learning about all of them! Be sure to ask your child what careers they learned about! Thank you to our community members who participated!
Thank you all for the support you give to your children and our school!
