From Doan's Desk... From Doan's Desk...

We are nearing the end of an outstanding Winter season of sports and activities. There was unprecedented success with Girls Swimming state trophy, an individual Girls Wrestling state champion, multiple DECA state champions, and TSA excellence at the state conference. We are not quite done yet as three of our teams are still competing in the playoffs. Good luck this weekend to…

  • Boys Basketball - 1st round playoffs at Regis HS on Fri, Feb 28 @ 6:00pm

  • Girls Basketball - 1st round playoffs at Columbine HS on Sat, Mar 1 @ 1:00pm

  • Hockey - Final Four playoff game at Robson Arena (Colorado Springs) vs Valor Christian on Sat, Mar 1 @ 6:30pm

We are super proud of the success by everyone so far.

It doesn't take much to see why Eliza Lennox is one of the best girls swimmers to come out of Boulder County. One needs only to look at her performance at the Class 4A state meet earlier this month.

The Monarch boys’ varsity hockey team has advanced to the semifinals of the 5A state tournament for the second straight season. The Coyotes got goals Wednesday night from seniors David Marcus and Jake Oullahan and 25 saves from junior goaltender Joshua Ringoen to beat Denver East 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

The next game is Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. against Valor Christian at Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs and the Coyotes need fan support for anyone willing to make the drive. Ticket and other details: https://chsaanow.com/news/2025/2/26/ice-hockey-tickets-on-sale-now-for-semifinal-round.aspx

DECA States Finalists

We had a fantastic showing at the 2025 DECA State Career Development Conference. Monarch, by far, won more awards than any other school in Colorado!

We have a new DECA Colorado State Officer, Ahalya Nowakowski, who will represent our DECA District in the upcoming year.

We brought 120 students to the conference, and 67 moved on to the final, with 37 claiming top five awards to move on to compete at the 2025 International Career Development Conference in Orlando in April.
