Treaty Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that Killam Public School is on Treaty 6 territory - the ancestral and traditional land of many Indigenous groups. We are grateful for the animals, the water and the forests that provide us with many resources we use each day. We are thankful for the diverse opportunities that this land offers. We respect the land in which we gather on today.

Principal's Message
After four years as Principal, today marks my final day. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this learning community and KPS will always have a special place in my heart. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to the KPS students, staff, and supportive parents. Thank you for four years of memories, collaboration, and shared success.
In the words of A.A. Milne, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
Have an amazing summer.
With gratitude,
Keely Nelson

2026-27 Transportation Information
Dear Families,
We are writing to share an update regarding transportation registration for the 2026–2027 school year.
While the initial deadline for transportation registration was today, June 24, we have extended this deadline until June 30, 2026, to allow families more time to complete their applications.
Please note that we will continue to accept registrations after this date; however, to help us ensure transportation is in place for the start of the school year, registrations received prior to July 1 will be given priority. Late registrations may experience delays in route and bus assignments due to the volume of requests.
We encourage you to complete your registration as soon as possible at: http://brsd.mybusplanner.ca
Thank you for your cooperation and for planning ahead for the upcoming school year.
