Dear Smith Stallion Parents and Students,

Congratulations to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students! They did an incredible job this week on the ACT Aspire. Students that were absent or arrived after testing began will be completing their tests on Monday, May 2nd. Please make sure your child is at school on time next week.

MORNING ARRIVAL---IMPORTANT!!

Please do not drop your student off at school before 7:15 a.m. Our duty personnel begin their supervision at 7:15 a.m. and students are not supervised before 7:15 a.m. Student safety is our top priority. Thank you in advance for helping us with this.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week! We will be holding daily drawings throughout the week for our wonderful teachers and staff. If you would like to donate gift cards, small items, candy, or make a donation towards the drawing, please send it to the office marked Teacher Appreciation Week (include your name so we know who to thank). We have an incredible faculty and staff and we want to shower them with appreciation that week.

PTA FAMILY GLOW DANCE---SAVE THE DATE

PTA Family Glow Dance--complete with a real DJ and blacklights--is coming soon! It is going to be a fun event to celebrate the school year! Mark your calendars now: Friday, May 20th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The cost for admission to the dance will be $5.00 per student. This is a family dance. All students must have at least one parent or adult with them at the dance. Students cannot be dropped off at the dance without a parent or adult. There will be snacks, drinks, and “Glow in the Dark” items for sale. MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW AND JOIN THE FUN!!!!!

STATE TESTING: MAP

Students in 3-5 will be taking the MAP assessment next week. Please be sure that your child is at school each day of testing.
