PRAYER TO ST. HILDEGARD OF BINGENπ
in your humility and simplicity,
you were raised up by God
and given a special gift of supernatural knowledge
about the deepest mysteries of Heaven and earth.
Please pray for me,
that I will always be open to the truths God reveals to me
and that I will use that knowledge
as the basis of all my choices in life.
Saint Hildegard of Bingen, pray for me.
Jesus, I trust in You.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL π
Dear Bruin Family,
I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all of our students and families for every message sent, dollar donated, video created, story shared, and action taken in support of our Fun Run fundraiser. In just over a week, we have surpassed $40,000 in donations! So many of our students and families are exceeding their goals and helping make this fundraiser a tremendous success.
These fundraising efforts are vital to both the current and future success of our school. Reaching our fundraising goals helps ensure our long-term sustainability while allowing us to keep tuition as affordable as possible and continue providing the outstanding staff, programs, and resources our students deserve. Thank you again for your generosity, enthusiasm, and support.
This Sunday, we will celebrate our first Family Mass of the school year. All St. Dorothy families are invited to join us at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Students who attend in their school uniform will receive a free dress pass. We hope you can join us as we gather in faith and witness our teachers being blessed as educators and witnesses of the faith on this Catechetical Sunday.
Next week, we will kick off Spirit Week and enjoy a variety of fun activities on campus, including our first rally of the year. During the rally, our student houses will compete for house points while strengthening peer relationships, building school spirit, and fostering a positive school culture.
Wishing each and every one of you a safe, happy, and blessed weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan Nearhoff

TREASURE TREK - FUN RUN 2026 π
We are doing an incredible job in our Fun Run fundraiser and just have a little more work to do to hit our $60,000. Iβm excited to say that after just over a week of fundraising weβve raised over $40,000! That means we hit our second school wide incentive marker of $35,000 and pretty soon there will be a battle of epic proportions between Mrs. La Rocca and Mr. Nearhoff. Students still have three days to win the week two student incentives. We also have a fierce class battle going with TK in first place and yesterday we brought in donations from around the globe with our 24 hour challenge. Thank you everyone for your hard work in getting donations!
Let's keep the adventure going!

Did You Know?
September 19-20 || Sextortion and teens
Sextortion happens when a predator threatens to share sexual images of another person to manipulate or harm that person. The American Academy of Pediatrics has classified sextortion as a form of image-based sexual abuse. Children and teens are particularly vulnerable, especially teens who have shared or been pressured into sharing explicit images. Predators will sometimes befriend or build a romantic relationship with a victim online, share and request explicit images, and then use those images to demand money or other favors. More information is available at https://www.healthychildren.org/English/tips-tools/ask-the-pediatrician/Pages/what-do-teens-need-to-know-about-online-predators-and-sextortion-scammers.aspx.
Mission Statement
To educate TK-Eighth grade students in a Catholic environment in which the curriculum emphasizes spiritual, ethical, and social values of the Catholic faith to become responsible and moral citizens within the global community.
Philosophy
Supporting the belief that parents are the primary educators of their children, we as educators at St. Dorothy Catholic School, dedicate ourselves to partner with the parents in preparing children to become contributing members of the community. To achieve this, we provide holistic development in psychological, emotional, social and physical health, with an emphasis on academics, faith, and Christian service.
In collaboration with parents, we champion student achievement through the presentation, practice, and study of Catholic doctrine, a strong academic curriculum, multimedia and multi-cultural experiences, physical education, extracurricular programs, and the dedicated commitment of the teachers and staff.
