Congratulations 5th Graders on your D.A.R.E. Graduation!

Our 5th graders officially completed the D.A.R.E. program today! We were thrilled to have three local sheriff’s officers and two canine unit dogs join us in celebrating our students as they took the pledge to live drug-free and make responsible decisions.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Deputy Jason Hollenbach, our DARE Officer, for his investment in our Liberty community. Way to go, fifth graders!

School Safety Reminder

The safety situation we communicated with you about yesterday was handled incredibly well by our Liberty staff. This started with our office team who determined the individual did not have a clear connection to our school community. This highlights the importance of the buzzer system our office utilizes to greet all guests.

Liberty is a close-knit and friendly community, which is such a blessing. If you find yourself arriving at the front door at the same time as someone else, please allow our office staff time to greet and buzz in each guest individually. While it feels neighborly to hold the door open for someone else, the office then loses the opportunity to evaluate the purpose of their visit and determine whether they should or should not be admitted.

Title One Notice to Families

Title 1, Part A (Title 1)of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA), provides financial assistance to local educational agencies and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Liberty Elementary receives Title 1A funding.

Parents/families of students in our building have a right to know about teacher qualifications and state-mandated assessments. All teachers providing Title 1 interventions at Liberty and all Worthington schools are properly licensed for their positions, and anyone can search licensure information on any educator HERE. In addition, these documents are available on the Title 1A page of our school website.
