The "Unconference"
Last October, Edison Middle School English Language Arts Teacher Alyssa Anderson jumped at the chance to submit an idea in the District's first crowd-sourcing campaign called the "Better Together Initiative."
The initiative invited all staff to submit ideas to improve the working and learning environment in the District. Ms. Anderson previously participated in an "Unconference" and offered this idea as an opportunity for SFSD staff to showcase their expertise while allowing colleagues to choose the most beneficial professional development based on their needs.
The "Unconference" idea will be introduced in August at the District's NEW "Inspire Education" Conference. All SFSD staff are invited to participate. More information regarding the conference will be available in the next few weeks.
Get your ideas ready! The next Better Together Campaign is scheduled for the Fall of 2022!
