A Note from Mrs. Pitts

Dear RES Families,

Next week, we will send home report cards to our families. We encourage our families to talk with their child(ren) about their strengths and their goals. I have heard many teachers talking with their students about the "grades" and making connections to support students in celebrating their successes and recognizing and self-reflecting on their goals! We will have a new formatted report card and are hoping we have simplified language, created a document that makes sense vertically (or across grade levels) and allowed for comment writing that highlights each child as an individual that we know, deeply.

THANK YOU for your support, as always!!

Warmly,

Michelle Pitts

Lunch in Our Caf

We invite one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend. This is an occasional event as we do want children to build independence and social skills in the cafeteria, a perfect time for this!

  • Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time. It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
  • Adults must bring their own lunch and can bring lunch for their own child.
  • We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
  • Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
  • Days for family visits are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We do not have lunch visitors on Fridays.
  • Lunch times are:
  • Kindergarten-11:45-12:10

    First Grade-12:10-12:35

    Second Grade-12:10-12:35

    Third Grade- 11:15-11:40

    Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40

Math Project

Some students in third grade engaged in a building project with Ms. Boulay and Mrs. Morrison. They created learned about area and perimeter in a real-life way and got to use our own laser printer. We were proud of them for presenting in front of the Rye School Board to share their innovative and creative thinking!
