A Look Back at the Week
Something Good is Hatching
1st graders have been anxiously awaiting the hatching of little chicks in their classrooms. This incredible learning project also helped hatch some good ideas and understanding about God's creations and His love for us as we enter the Easter season.
5th Grade Science Projects
Mrs. Smith's 5th grade science students completed and displayed their science projects.
Upper School S.E.W.
Upper school students and staff had a great week of diving deeper. During Spiritual Emphasis Week they participated in a 4-part study series that focused on pausing from the distractions and business of life to spend more time in prayer and study of God's word.
Special thanks to Pastor Jonathan Knappenberger for bringing great messages to each day's opening session.
Leading and Serving
Senior, Aby Robertson helped work an event for homeschoolers at Troy University as a part of the Patriot Academy.
Empty Tomb
Even the snacks for the week helped students understand more about Easter. These students enjoyed rolling the stone away and eating the empty tomb! Some classes even tried foods that were like items that would have been eaten at the last supper. What a great way to learn about Jesus!
Egg Hunt Fun
Some of our little lions had a blast on Friday racing with their baskets to grab Easter eggs.
Serve Day
2 Buses + 2 Locations + Spending the day being the hands and feet of Jesus = CCS Serve Day
Middle and High School students had a great time on Wednesday serving with The Lovelady Center in Birmingham! Students learned about the ministry and helped work at their two thrift store locations. This is the best kind of school day…. learning through serving!
Special Thanks:
Thank you to our new friends at true Lovelady Center for letting us spend the day working with you! And, thank you to Desperation Church for allowing us to use your bus!
Spring Formal
High school students danced the night away at Spring Formal on Saturday. The evening was packed full of laughs, dancing, snacks, and sparkles. Thank you Mrs. Griffin and SGA for putting on a great event!
Event Information
Parents, family members, and friends are always welcome on Tuesday mornings for a dedicated weekly prayer time. This meeting takes place in the lunch area at the Beech Campus immediately following morning devotion on Tuesdays.

This card will work like a Bingo card and families can earn prizes based on how many lines they fill or if they fill the whole card. Cards will be due by April 20th. Questions about the card can be directed to candase.wilkins@cullmanchristian.com.
What if I missed the original email? What are we fundraising for?
We have had so many exciting things happening recently at CCS and this announcement will be no different. As many of you know with growth and progress comes the need for additional financial support. In an effort to fundraise but not over ask we are launching a joint effort for the first time to help support several areas of the school that are in need.
This year we have kicked off our Athletic Booster Club and embarked on an expansion at the Beech Ave Campus. Both of these projects directly support our students by helping strengthen our programs, expand our school, and continue building a thriving community for our families.
Fundraising with our Purpose and Mission
At CCS our purpose is to further the kingdom of God by preparing students to impact the world. We feel one way to do that is by supporting missions both close to home and internationally. With our purpose in mind, we will not keep all of the funds raised for ourselves but will tithe a portion back. We are partnering with ONE30 and a mission group that will be making a trip to Uganda this summer. The group will include several students from CCS; their family will be assisting missionaries to educate local families about hygiene and healthy lifestyles. They will be taking hygiene products to distribute and CCS will be helping to purchase some of these items as well as give a donation to ONE30.
Every donation and ticket sold helps invest directly into our athletics, classrooms, and future growth. This fundraiser is a meaningful way for families to partner with the school and model generosity, service, and community involvement for our children. Thank you for your continued support and for helping make this fundraiser a success.

CHOOSE Act Funds for 2026-27
There are two application dates for the 2026-2027 academic year – one for renewing family applications and one for new family applications.
- A renewing family application pertains to a family with participating student(s) that received a CHOOSE Act ESA digital wallet for the 2025-2026 academic year. These families can renew current participating students and add siblings of participating students starting December 15, 2025, through the application deadline of March 31, 2026. A renewing family must renew. It is not an automatic renewal.
- A new family application pertains to a family that has not previously applied for CHOOSE Act Alabama; or a family applicant that applied for the 2025-2026 academic year but was either not awarded, or did not complete the award affidavit in ClassWallet.
