A Message from Dr. Paceley
Dear Meridian Families,
We are wrapping up STAAR testing this week with Social Studies on Monday and Math on Wednesday. Our students have worked hard, and we are proud of their effort and focus.
With just a few weeks left in the school year, we are looking forward to many end-of-year events across band, FFA, athletics, and more. We encourage you to attend when you can—these moments mean a great deal to our students.
Thank you for your continued support as we finish the year strong!
🎓🎓 Message for Senior Parents🎓🎓
Dear Senior Families,
We are in the final stretch—just five weeks until graduation, and we are so proud of this senior class!
We’ve recently seen an increase in tardies, absences, missed deadlines, and off-task behavior. While the excitement is understandable, these last weeks matter. Attendance, behavior, and completing required tasks all impact graduation eligibility.
We ask for your support in encouraging your senior to stay focused, meet deadlines, and finish strong.
Graduation Reminder:
- Each senior will receive 5 floor tickets
- Bleacher seating is unlimited (first come, first served)
- Graduation will be live-streamed on YouTube and shown in the cafeteria
Our goal is for every senior to walk the stage ready for what’s next. Thank you for partnering with us to make that happen—we’re excited to celebrate them soon!
Regional Golf Highlights
Congratulations to Noah Smith and Afton Smith on an outstanding golf season!
Both athletes closed out their year at the Regional Golf Tournament with personal best performances. Noah shot an 81 on Day 1 and 86 on Day 2, while Afton improved each round with a 106 on Day 1 and a 99 on Day 2.
Their hard work and determination were on full display as they represented Meridian with pride. We are so proud of both of you—great job, Jackets! 💛🖤

💃🕺Prom Update 💃🕺
The All-In Era
The "All-In Era" is officially in full swing. We are on a 30-day mission to fund a free yearbook for every single student and staff member at Meridian ISD, but we don’t just want to provide the book; we want you IN it.
We’ve opened up a digital "Community Era" vault, and we’re inviting every parent, fan, and neighbor to share their receipts from the year. Whether it’s a shot from the sidelines, a community event, or a "behind the scenes" Meridian moment, we want to see it!
*Disclaimer: By uploading any photos or videos to the shared folder, you grant us permission to use them in both the physical and digital versions of the yearbook.
How to Get Involved Today:
1. Become a Legacy Partner (The Support)
Help us cross the finish line! View our sponsorship tiers and secure your business’s place in Meridian history. Every partnership puts books directly into the hands of our kids.

💛 Capturing Kids’ Hearts Corner 💛
💛 Capturing Kids’ Hearts – April Focus
As we head into the final weeks of school, we are focusing on consistency and connection. Finishing strong isn’t just about academics—it’s about how we treat one another and the habits we carry forward. We encourage students to continue showing respect, responsibility, and kindness each day. Every interaction matters.
🎓Senior Spotlights 🎓
**Note: Senior Spotlights will feature 2-3 Seniors per week in the newsletters. Students will be put in the newsletter in the order they are received. Reminder that students who do not submit photos will only have their bio posted.**
