Show Up for Each Other
Falcons, let’s Show Up for Each Other!
From October 19–December 18, we’re bringing some friendly competition to attendance! Each week, grade levels or homeroom classes can earn fun rewards, including restaurant vouchers, jeans days, a piñata party, and an ice cream party!
Every day at school is a chance to learn, build friendships, and be part of something special. Check out the flyer for each week’s challenge and remember, every week is a fresh chance to win!
Families, thank you for supporting regular attendance and helping your children arrive on time, ready to learn.
Every Falcon belongs. Let’s show up for each other! Attendance Matters!
Dress Up Day Reminders
We love our dress up days here at HSA Bridgeland!
However, please make sure you are reading the information clearly on our calendar. If a dress up day indicates a shirt with jeans, no other combination should be worn. Total dress up days, such as during Red Ribbon Week, should still follow school dress code standards: no hoodies, no short skirts, no light up shoes or Crocs, etc.
Please help us to keep enjoying these days by following the guidelines!
Morning Reminders
📣 Morning Arrival & Breakfast Reminder
Dear Falcon Families,
We want to share a friendly reminder to help our students start their school day on time and ready to learn! 💙💛
Teachers begin picking up students at 7:40 AM to transition them to class. If your child plans to eat breakfast at school, we strongly encourage arriving by 7:30 AM. This will give students enough time to enjoy their breakfast without missing valuable instructional time.
We especially want to make sure our students are in class and ready to learn when instruction begins, particularly during ELA and Math lessons.
Thank you for helping us give our Falcons a smooth and successful start to each school day! 🦅📚
Safety at Drop Off and Dismissal
Drop-Off and Dismissal Reminder
For the safety of all students, staff, and families, we ask that parents remain off cell phones during drop-off and dismissal. Your full attention helps keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensures everyone arrives and departs safely.
Please remember that the middle lane is reserved for students and staff to walk safely and should not be used for driving. Once traffic is consolidated to one lane, the outside lane will be designated for ELITE Afterschool Care pickup only.
All ELITE families are asked to pull to the front office for pickup. This adjustment will help ELITE parents avoid waiting in the regular club pickup line and will improve efficiency for all families.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly campus environment.
Red Ribbon Week
RED RIBBON WEEK IS COMING!

Determination Home Activities
Hello Falcons! As we continue to focus on determination this month, below are some fun activities to practice determination at home with the family!
- Play the "Reframe Game". Take an everyday object like a broken pencil or a water bottle and talk about what else it can be used for.
- Make a vision board of your goals using old magazines or printing computer images. Cut and paste the words and pictures on a poster board as a reminder of what you are working toward.
Reach out if you have any questions and have a great day!

Fall Reading Challenge
Trackers Have Been Sent Home
We have an exciting event coming up for October and November…a reading challenge!
We are challenging all our students to read for 20 minutes a day for at least 25 days between October 8th and November 20th. All students who turn in their reading log between November 1st and November 14th will receive a prize!
We will be using 2 separate trackers for students: one for Prek-1st grade and one for 2nd-6th grade.
For PreK through 1st Grade – we are asking either for parents to read to them for 20 minutes or for students to read, if they are able. For each day completed, parents will simply put the date and initials on a “book”.
For 2nd Grade through 6th Grade – we are asking students to read for 20 minutes. For each day completed, students or parents should write down the book name, the date, and have parents initial.
Homeroom teachers will hand out copies of the trackers, but they are also available below:
PK-2nd grade tracker: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:c99e4db8-eee5-42d0-b673-17b3a89d17a5
