Hello and Happy Fall!

October's Musician of the Month has been a blast from my past! I remember listening to Gloria Estefan (on cassette - 😯) when I was in elementary school.

Gloria Fajardo Estefan was born in Havana, Cuba, but moved to the US as a young girl and became a citizen in 1974. She started performing with the Miami Latin Boys (who later became the Miami Sound Machine) when she was 18. She has won numerous awards, including 3 Grammys, Kennedy Center Honors, Presidential Medal of Freedom, and even an honorary doctorate from the University of Miami. In 2015, she co-produced a musical about her life called On Your Feet.

Below, you will find some wonderful videos of Gloria performing as well as the link to our Musician of the Month Spotify Playlist. Enjoy!
