Riffle Raffle 2025
Hello Boulder Creek Families!
It's that time of year again to sell Riffle Raffle tickets to raise some money for BC classrooms (please see your teacher to find out the great things they have in store for the funds raised).
Winners of the Riffle Raffle will be chosen at the Sundial Bridge Festival on Saturday, October 25th.
You may get tickets to sell from your child’s teacher. Your child can sell as many tickets as he/she likes,
we just ask that you sign below to acknowledge receiving the tickets. If you select that you would like
tickets to sell, you will receive 1 envelope containing 5 tickets. Once you sell those 5 tickets, you will turn the ticket stubs and corresponding money back into your teacher and you may then request more tickets from your child’s teacher if you wish. Our goal is for every student to sell at least 5 tickets. If you are in need of a large amount of tickets, please contact Melissa McGee at melissamcgee1418@gmail.com.
IMPORTANT: Any tickets that are not sold must be returned to the school. There is a $5 charge for

Leaderizing Boulder Creek
September: Habit 1 - Be Proactive
This month, we are focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive, which teaches our students that they are responsible for their own choices, actions, and attitudes. While it's easy to react to circumstances, a proactive approach empowers your family to act based on principles and values.
Here's how you can help your child practice being proactive at home:
- Encourage "I am responsible" moments. When your child makes a mistake, guide them to apologize and make it right without being asked.
- Focus on the "Circle of Influence." Help your child focus their energy on things they can change (like their own attitude) rather than things they can't (like a bad test grade).
- Role-play different reactions. Use a low-stakes moment to practice a new, proactive response. What can your child do instead of getting upset when a sibling breaks a toy?
TK - Kinder Important Information
TK/Kindergarten classroom doors will open at 8:13 AM.
-
If you are dropping your child off before 7:55 AM, please bring them to the Café, where staff will supervise until the playground opens. Two tables are reserved specifically for TK/Kinder students. At 7:50 AM, a staff member will escort the students to the playground.
-
If you arrive before the playground opens, you may:
-
Leave your child’s backpack by their classroom door, or
-
Bring your child to the Café and place their backpack along the stage.
-
-
If you arrive after 7:55 AM, your child may:
-
Leave their backpack by their classroom door, or
-
Bring it with them to the TK/Kinder playground and place it near their classroom sign.
-
After drop-off, we kindly ask that you say your goodbyes so students have space to play and settle in.
Please note that all TK/Kinder aides will begin supervising on the playground starting at 8:05 AM.
Parking Lot Reminders
Slow down - The school zone speed limit is 25 mph.
Do not park in front of anyone’s driveway. Do not move their property at the curb (i.e. trash and recycle bins) so you can park.
Do not double-park in the street to pick up your children.
We encourage you to enter the designated parking lot to pick up your child. Once dismissal time arrives, the traffic in the parking lot begins flowing nicely.
Please continue to move your vehicle forward if you are in the curb lanes.
Use caution as students may be in front, behind, or to the side of your vehicle at any time.
Do not leave your vehicle unattended in the curb lane.
If you must go into the building, please park in a parking place so our curb lane can continue to move forward.
Use crosswalks provided when crossing our parking lots and Springer Drive. All of our students are watching the actions of adults.
Most of all, be patient and kind. That is what we expect from all of our children, and they need to see that modeled by the adults on their team.
Drop Off / Pick Up Times and Parking Lot Procedures
Where/when should I drop-off and pick-up?
Grade-Level Start and End Times
We are happy to welcome our students on campus for breakfast as well as on the playground before the start of the school day this year. The earliest drop-off time is 7:30 a.m.
Regular Day - School Start/End Times:
4-8 grades begin at 8:00 a.m. - 2:14 p.m.
TK-3 grades begin at 8:15 a.m. - 2:03 p.m.
Minimum Day - School Start Times:
4-8 grades begin at 8:00 a.m. - 1:09 p.m.
TK-3 grades begin at 8:10 a.m. - 1:09 p.m.
Students will be released from class based upon the dismissal time. Students will be walked to a designated pick-up area (see below) and remain with their teacher/classmates. If they have a younger sibling(s), they should report to the designated pick-up area of their youngest sibling so parents don't have to visit both pick-up loops. Please coordinate this with your children.
To ensure the safety of all children, students must be picked up at their dismissal times. The school does not provide supervision for students after 2:20 p.m. on regular days and 1:20 p.m. on minimum days. Every Monday is a minimum day. If students are not picked up by the aforementioned times, they will be escorted to the office. Parents will then be required to go to the office to check students out. Remember this is to ensure your child’s safety, so please be prompt when picking up your child.
Assigned Parking Lots for Drop-off and Pick-up
This year, you will be assigned to a specific parking lot for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. It is extremely important that you stick to this because your child/children will be taken to this area after school. If you have multiple BC children, we do not want you to have to go from parking lot to parking lot, so you will be picking all of your children up together in one location.
This location is decided by the youngest child in the family. Older children in the family will need to find their youngest sibling at the pick-up location that is assigned to that sibling's grade level. For example, Kindergarten will be picked up in the front parking lot, so all older siblings of Kindergartners will report to the dismissal location to find their Kindergarten sibling's class at the front of the school and wait for their parents there together. We will be out to help older siblings find their pick-up point. This should only take a day or two to get into the routine of where to go.
Parking Lot Assignments by Grade-Level:
- TK/K (and all older siblings) - Front Lot
1 and 2 (and all older siblings) - Back Lot
3 and 4 (and all older siblings) - Front Lot
5 (and all older siblings) - Back Lot
6-8 (and all older siblings) Front Lot
Please do not arrive earlier than your oldest child's release time (see above), as we want to be able to clear the parking lot quickly for each group. If you have multiple children who are released at both times, please find a parking space rather than waiting in the pick-up lane as this will block the lane from moving as you wait for your older child. Thank you for your cooperation.
BC FLOW OF TRAFFIC MAP
Enter/exit the campus from the neighborhood depending on which parking lot you are assigned. Front lot = red arrows. Back lot = green arrows.
