Howl of the Week

Every week we have been recognizing a student from every classroom that is a helpful, optimistic, worker, leader. We have been recognizing students every week since the first week of September, so many of our Timberwolves have been recognized. These students are exhibiting the 5 B's and we are always on the lookout for our Howl of the Week!

Late Buses

We are asking our families for grace and patience as we deal with the bus driver shortages that are affecting not only OPS, but is a nationwide dilemma. We know how worrisome it is when your child does not arrive at the designated time. Student Transportation of America and the Omaha Public Schools are actively recruiting and hiring new drivers to fill in the vacancies.

Message from the Library

The library has seen an increase in damaged library books because students are storing their water bottles in their backpacks and the water bottles are spilling and sweating on them. Please remind students to make certain their water bottle is tightly sealed and in the side pocket of their backpacks. We want to make sure we have lots of reading materials available for all of our students.

Turn iPad off regularly

Turning your iPad completely off every night as you sleep is a great habit to start. This refreshes your iPad and better ensures updates occur. It also helps reserve your battery.

Attendance Matters-- Attend, Aspire, Graduate

  • Establish a regular bed time and morning routine.
  • Prepare materials and clothing the evening before.
  • Do not let your student stay home unless your child is sick.
  • Schedule medical appointments and extended trips when school is not in session.

Help your children have the best chance of success.
