This week I will share some bittersweet news with you. I have accepted a position as principal at neighboring Wellfleet Elementary School. This decision to move on was not an easy one, as I will greatly miss the supportive Monomoy community.

I look forward to continuing to serve with Dr. Dudley for the remainder of the school year and will support the school wherever possible in the pursuit of the next principal.

In other news; this was another exciting week at MRMS as the production of "The Little Mermaid Jr." has been a wild success! The past 3 months of practice have certainly paid off. This week our school celebrated Autism Awareness by wearing blue on Friday. Look for pictures below.

The MCAS are Coming! April 11th and 12th are the first day of MCAS testing this year. We will kick off the testing season with ELA and are so excited for students to have the opportunity to show off all the learning that they have done this year! Rest up and eat a good breakfast!

Spring Sports begin April 3rd. Here is to a great season for student atthletes.

No School Friday 4/7: Just a reminder that there is no school this Friday.

Wear Blue in April: We will continue to celebrate Autism awareness this month by wearing blue on each Friday in April.

Band for Rookies: Please be aware that Band for Rookies has ended for the current club cycle. Thanks to Mr. Napier and all the students for your participation.

Dental Cleanings: Mark your calendars for May 30th. We will be offering free dental cleanings again for students this spring. More information about sign up is to follow!

Thank you JT!: A huge thanks and appreciation for JT for coming to our school this week to share your experience and message for students to finish strong. A special shout out to Ms. Botsford for setting this up!

Health Screenings: A reminder that we will be conducting state mandated health screenings for the 7th grade Herring River Team this week on 4/6/2023. Please email our school nurse, Carol Fiocco, at cfiocco@monomoy.edu by April 3, 2023.

Students Selling Items: Please be aware that students are not permitted to bring in items to school for sale. For example, it is not permitted for a student to buy packs of gum in bulk and then sell them individually to students at school for profit. The exception to this would be for a school approved fundraiser. If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out to the MRMS school administrators.

Extra Help Raffle: We continue to encourage students to come in for extra help and participate in our raffle! This will run through quarter 3!
