The Weekly News West Elementary

Please enjoy this Thanksgiving Edition of our newsletter!

Thank you for your partnership with us, sharing with us such wonderful children. Thanks for helping us in our all charitable endeavors. Thanks for volunteering your time in school, being part of PTA, helping with homework and reading at bedtime. Thanks for letting us be part of "growing" your children. At West El, we know how lucky we are to have such an awesome school community!

Happy Thanksgiving!

For the 2024-2025 school year, West Elementary will be working on targeted practice on some “life” skills in addition to academics. Every week, we will practice a skill that will help us all be a little better. This week’s skill is BEING GRATEFUL.

Most people are pretty good at BEING GRATEFUL but a reminder never hurts. This week we will be practicing.

Third Graders made flyers, public service announcement on WE TV, and thank you cards to get the word out about people in our community who might be in need. They collected, boxed, and loaded over 850lbs of food for the West Seneca Community Food Pantry. This is service learning at its best!

It is never too soon to start thinking about good school attendance.

There are only 180 days in the school year, and every one of these days matter!

And elementary school is just the beginning of a long educational career. Good habits start now!

Please give us a call or send an email if you are concerned about your child's attendance.
