Five-minute Friday

Please visit our website for updated transportation times for Hanover Elementary School students.

If your child has a food allergy, please contact our Food Services Director, Melissa Koehler directly via phone (719-683-2247 ext. 117) or email ( mkoehler@hanoverhornets.org). It is important for the safety of our students to have a current meal statement from their doctor on file.

For months, we've watched our new elementary school transform — steel rise, walls take shape, a vision become a building. Tuesday, we cut the ribbon on that construction.

But here's the thing about a new building: the construction that matters the most starts the day the students walk in. The concrete is cured and the windows are set, but the real work is just beginning. Our teachers and staff don't lay foundations of concrete - they lay foundations of confidence, curiosity, and character. And that work is never finished. It happens every single day.

None of us gets to do that work without help, and there are so many people to thank.

To this community — thank you for believing in our students enough to invest in them.

To our staff — both returning and new, for the heart you bring through these doors.

And to our families — thank you for trusting us with your children.

To our students — this school was built for you. Every classroom, every hallway, every square foot exists so you can dream bigger and reach further.

Here's to a wonderful year ahead.

Thank you.

— Chad Riggs, Principal

The year started off late for the Jr Sr High School due to our well issue. However, we did kick off the school year with our hot dog feed and chili cookoff on the 12th. A big thank you to the Hanover Fire Department for their efforts as judges.

The school year is now up and running with some new staff, new CTE opportunities, and with excited students.

It's a great day to be a Hornet!
