Early Reminders for Back to School

An exciting new school year is approaching and school supply list updates are available as you plan for the 2026-2027 school year. The supply lists included in the link below represent suggested items that you may supply at your discretion. If you have questions regarding the suggested supply lists, please contact your school.

High School students will receive information regarding supplies from teachers on the first day of school.

Student orientation dates are as follows:

• Pre-K: Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (all day)
• Primary/Elementary Schools: Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Intermediate Schools: Monday, August 17, 2026, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Middle Schools: Thursday, August 13, 2026, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• High Schools: Monday, August 17, 2026, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Please note: Some schools may host additional back-to-school events. Those details will be shared directly by the individual schools.

The first day of school for students (Grades K-12) is Thursday, August 20, 2026!

The first day of school for Pre-K students is August 24, 2026 (staggered start).

Don't forget to mark your calendar for important school year events, holidays, and more.

Has your child's emergency contact information changed? Does your child have allergies, require medication at school, or have special dietary or medical needs? Keeping this information up to date helps us provide the best care and respond quickly in the event of an emergency.

Parents/caregivers of all Berkeley County Schools students are required to complete an Annual Forms & Information Update each school year. Please submit one update for each student, even if your information has not changed. To save time, use the "Fill Again" option at the end of the form to pre-fill information from your previous submission.

Bus schedules for the 2026-2027 school year are now available! Families are encouraged to review their student's transportation information before the first day of school and plan to arrive at their designated bus stop a few minutes early during the first week as routes are finalized and drivers become familiar with their schedules.

For the most up-to-date transportation information, Berkeley County Schools encourages families to download the Edulog Parent Portal app. The app allows parents and guardians to view their student's assigned bus stop, pickup and drop-off times, receive transportation notifications, and track the location of their child's bus in real time when available.

Please remember that bus pickup and drop-off times may vary slightly during the first few days of school as our Transportation Department works to ensure routes operate safely and efficiently. We also encourage families to review bus safety expectations and discuss appropriate bus behavior with their children before the first day of school.

Help your student start the school year healthy and ready to learn by making sure all required immunizations are up to date before the first day of school. This includes vaccinations for Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment, as well as those required for students entering 7th and 12th grades. Staying current on immunizations helps protect your child, their classmates, and our school communities from preventable illnesses.

As the new school year approaches, now is a great time to check your student's school-issued device. Please make sure it is charged, powers on properly, and is ready for the first day of school.

If the device is damaged, missing, or not working as expected, please submit a help ticket as soon as possible so our technology team can address the issue before students return to class.
