Color Run Success
Our Wildcats had a blast at the Wilkerson Color Run! Not only was it a fun event, but our students and staff blew past our fundraising goal of $16,500 and are only $147 away from the $20,000 stretch goal! Thank you to our PTO and the Color Run parent volunteers for this fun event. Thank you for all of the work you put into raising funds that will go back to our students and staff through field trips, needed materials, and teacher appreciation. We are grateful!
Student Behavior
We have several exciting student incentive events including field trips and our annual Winter Wonderland coming up between now and the end of the fall semester. In an effort to deter poor behavior choices, students who receive a serious level 3 or repeated level 2 disciplinary referrals during the second nine-weeks are subject to being withheld from these events. This includes bus referrals, as we are seeing an increased number of behavior incidents from the transportation department. We would greatly appreciate your partnership in reinforcing student behavior expectations on campus, so that we can ensure that every student has a safe and positive experience at Wilkerson.
"Today you are You, this is truer than true. There is no one alive who is more Youer than You"

Have a great week, Wildcats!

School Safety
🗣️Speaking up isn't snitching, it's protecting your friends, your school, and your future.
If you see something serious, say something. Staying silent can cause more harm than speaking up.
👉 Do the right thing, not the easy thing.
THREATS ARE NO JOKE!
#ThreatsAreNoJoke #SchoolSafety #StaySafe
Parent Focused Post
Parents, what would your student do if they saw or heard a threat? Make sure they know how to use their school's anonymous reporting system and encourage them to tell an adult they trust. Speaking up isn't snitching. Speaking up is how we stay safe.
#ThreatsAreNoJoke
Spinal Screenings
Wilkerson Intermediate will conduct spinal screenings for all 5th grade girls on November 9th and 10th, as required by Texas state law. Trained screeners will check students for signs of abnormal spinal curvature, including scoliosis. Early detection is important in identifying potential spinal concerns and ensuring timely treatment. Please see the flyer linked below for more information.

Library Notifications
Conroe ISD Library Services has enabled checkout notifications, so you know the title of the books your student checked out. These notifications will be sent on days when your student checks out a book from the school library and will only be sent for the initial checkout. Daily notifications will no longer occur for the entire time a book is checked out to a student. State law and board policy do not allow an opt-out option for these notifications. If you have a question or concern about your student’s reading material, please contact your campus librarian.
The Destiny Library Catalog has been updated with the following message as per Local Policy EFB.
Library materials may include objectionable materials. If you would like to restrict access to specific library materials, please complete the Library Access Form.
More information can be found at Conroe ISD Library Services.

SMART Tag Reminder
We want to remind families about the importance of students bringing their SMART Tags every day. It is extremely important that students keep up with their tags and have them with them daily. All students were provided with a tag at the beginning of the school year, and we will replace it once before imposing a $2 replacement fee.
Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and safe process for all of our students!
SMART Tag Parent App
Parents please sign up for the SMART tag™ Parent App, as we are no longer providing Bus Hubs to notify parents of bus delays. This app offers real-time updates on their
child’s school bus, including arrival alerts, and notifications for delays or route changes.
The transportation app is a reliable and convenient way for you to stay informed about your child's transportation. Simply download the app, register, and link your child's student ID to begin receiving important transportation updates.
The link below will provide step-by-step instructions to help you register and get started.

TWHS World Languages
Did you know that you need two credits of the same world language to graduate from high school? The Ninth Grade and Senior Campuses offer beginning-level courses in Chinese, French, and German, allowing students to complete this two-year requirement.
This means you have options! You are not limited to choosing Spanish in 8th grade. If you’re interested in exploring a different language, you can wait until high school to begin your world language journey and choose the language that interests you most.
