Morning Carline:
- All students enter through the rear of the building beginning at 7:30 am.
- Carline closes to K-8 parents at 8:00.
- Students arriving after the carline closes at 8:00 should be taken to the front entrance and escorted inside by an adult to be signed in.
- Students should not be dropped off anywhere in front of the school, in the parking lots, or on the sidewalks.
Afternoon Carline:
- The blue carline (K-5) enters from the left off of Sparkman Dr. Please stay in the left lane until you pass the entrance to the green carline (the big yellow gates to the right).
- The green carline (6-8 and elementary siblings) enters from the right off Dry Creek or Grizzard. Please stay in the right lane to enter the green carline.
- If your child needs a name tag for carline, please email misty.suwarow@hsv-k12.org.
- Carline ends around 3:25. If students are still waiting for pickup at this time, they will be taken to the auditorium to wait for their ride. Once you arrive, please park and come inside the back doors to sign your student out.
Skills to Practice with Young Students:
- Unbuckling the seatbelt or carseat independently.
- Opening and closing the car door independently.
- Exiting the car on the passenger side independently.
Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Parent Surveys
All students, elementary and middle, should now have received a letter with a specialized code to complete a parent survey for our Blue Ribbon School of Excellence recertification. There is a separate survey for elementary and middle school. This is a critical part of our recertification process. If you did not receive your letter and code, please let Dr. Coffey or Mr. Jones know so that we can send you a code. Our goal for both schools is 90% parent participation, respectively.
Our parent participation percentages are currently low. Please complete these surveys if you are able! We won't be able to complete certification if the surveys are not completed.
