This Week's News.......................

Important Update: Youth Art Month Reception Time Change

Due to an unexpected staffing shortage with the Capitol Police, we have had to adjust the timing of tomorrow’s Youth Art Month Art Show Reception. The event will now take place from 3:30–5:00 PM at the Vermont State House, in the cafeteria located on the second level.

I sincerely apologize for this last-minute change and any inconvenience it may cause. I will be heading down after school and plan to arrive as soon as possible to celebrate our incredible young artists.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at lbresler@ewsd.org.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. I look forward to seeing you there!

Lisa Bresler, ADL Art Teacher

Vermont Comprehensive Assessment Program (VTCAP) -Important Info!

ADL will be administering the VTCAP assessments to all students on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, April 7th: 9:00-11:00 AM
  • Tuesday, April 8th: 9:00-11:00 AM
  • Wednesday, April 9th: 9:00-11:00 AM
  • Thursday, April 10th: 1:00-2:30 PM
  • 8th Grade students will also take the Science VTCAP test on Monday, April 14th and Tuesday, April 15th from 9-11:00 AM.

How can parents and guardians help prepare our students for testing?

  • Please make sure your student is present and on time on testing dates.
  • Students need to bring their chromebooks to school fully charged. We will send additional reminders about this before testing.
  • Encourage your student to take the test seriously and to do their best. This assessment is just one measure of student learning, but we use these scores for school improvement planning and resource allocation.

Please see this letter for more information about the VTCAP assessment. Thank you for your support!
