Principal's Message
Hello,
We are looking forward to hosting new DHS families on Saturday, August 8. This will be an informational session to support students and their families in the transition to DHS. If you are new, please consider joining us on Saturday. There is additional information on the flyer below.
Decatur High School is definitely in full swing. We had a HOLD earlier in the week that was conducted as designed. This is part of the Standard Response Protocol used by CSD. After any such event, we always debrief and make any necessary adjustments to improve safety and security.
By now, most students should have been assigned Chromebooks and lockers. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Our counselors have also been working to balance the schedule for all students.
Finally, after a full first week of school, the weekend is deserved. We hope students and staff will have a restful weekend.
I appreciate the opportunity to lead this PACK.
Sincerely,
Duane Sprull, Ed.D.

DPI Community Survey
The Decatur Prevention Initiative needs your help in learning more about community perceptions and concerns regarding underage drinking and substance misuse among Decatur youth. The results of this brief survey will be shared with the coalition members, parents, key partners, and the community-at-large. A summary of the results will be posted on the website at www.decaturpi.org. This information assists in satisfying current federal funding requirements as well as helps target our programming efforts and provide critical information for future funding opportunities.
This voluntary survey is anonymous, and responses cannot be traced to you. Please answer the questions based on what you think and do. You may skip any question you choose not to answer.
Thank you so much for volunteering to provide this valuable information to help DPI and our partners better address youth alcohol and substance misuse in Decatur. Please only take this survey once.
