OUR PTO IS IN NEED OF 7TH GRADE PARENT VOLUNTEERS
Our PTO is looking for parent/guardian volunteers from our 7th grade class to form our Grade 8 Dance Committee. Our 7th grade families typically help our 8th grade parents with this event so that the 8th grade parents are free to enjoy the festivities with their 8th graders. Please send an email to our PTO at Kristin.angelillo@gmail.com to connect with them. The 8th Grade Dance will be held Tuesday, June 18th.
Updates From The Principal
Hello NRMS Families,
Welcome back from the April vacation week. The pace noticeably picks up at this time of year. We only have eight weeks remaining in the school year and we have a number of special events, concerts, field trips, and testing days ahead. Once the temperatures begin to warm, we need to work together to keep students focused on school with the goal of finishing up the year on a positive note.
Speaking of warmer temperatures that we hope will arrive soon, it is important for everyone to stay hydrated. We encourage students to have water bottles and we have bottle filling stations located around the school. We are taking some inventory of our Nauset ROCKS water bottles and will soon distribute them to students depending on availability. A reminder, that students should not be coming to school with sugary drinks, soda, coffee drinks, or energy drinks. Please only send students to school with water.
Report Cards for the 3rd quarter are now available in Aspen. We are finalizing student schedules for the 2024-2025 school year. If your child is currently in 6th or 7th grade, please be sure they have made their course requests for next year. This should be done in Aspen and directions for how to do this were sent out earlier this spring.
Let's work together to continue to improve student attendance for this fourth quarter of the school year. Our attendance is trending in the right direction as compared to last year and we want to keep that momentum going. It is crucial for students to be in attendance at school and arriving on time every day. Thanks for helping to make that happen.
Enjoy the weekend.
