Kindergarten Kindergarten

Ms. Lawler's Class

Kindergarten has had an amazing start to our school year! This week we focused on our school value of cooperation. We read lots of picture books with the theme of cooperation, worked with our friends to build houses out of blocks, learned to play math games together and practiced cooperating with the teachers in the school by following directions. We have such a kind, cooperative group and are building a wonderful learning community.

Wellness Wellness

Miss Paige

In Wellness, students have been learning about the Wellness Wheel and how to take care of not only their physical health, but their social and emotional health as well. By taking care of each section, our whole-body health will improve. Our focus has also been on cooperation, healthy communication, and sportsmanship. Classes have played games like “The Floor is Lava” and “Hula Hut Relay Challenge” to practice these concepts. See the photo of Ms. Gilbert’s fourth grade class and their double-decker hula hut!

Mrs. DiFalco

Grade one has focused on our core value of Cooperation this week, and through the exploration of math materials are learning to work “cooperatively” with their classmates during math exploration. Sharing materials with a classmate and using their imagination and creativity has been a positive learning experience.

Grade 3 Grade 3

Mr. Morris's Class

Third Graders worked to show our core value of cooperation this week. We learned how to model multiplication problems with equal groups and arrays, and played games together to practice. In science, we explored what makes a cloud, and learned about four types of clouds. We also discovered how observing clouds can help us predict what type of weather is coming.
