Good attendance provides readiness for success in school and life: It is important to recognize that a habit of attendance is not only a school readiness skill, but a life skill. Consistent, on-time attendance creates a discipline that carries into adulthood. Conversely, allowing students to miss school for nonpertinent reasons in the early grades may teach them that such behavior is acceptable in later grades.

Attention all 3rd and 4th Grade Parents: Your child will be completing the South Dakota Assessment April 13-24 . Since this is a state required assessment, your child’s attendance will be important to ensure they are not pulled out of the classroom additionally to make up these assessments. If you have any appointments made at this time, please be in contact with the teacher to ensure it does not conflict with the testing schedule.

End of the year hustle, bustle: During the spring months we plan many exciting events for the students such as grade level field trips, attendance at the high school Children’s play, and our schoolwide field day. Events that are specific to grade level will be relayed to parents within the DoJo communication app. More information to come on our annual field day event to be hosted on May 13.

Lost and Found: Are you unable to find your child’s coat, mittens, hoodie, water bottle, glasses etc? Please swing by the school and check out our lost and found. Any items left at the end of the year will be donated.

Homeschool Connection Program Admission is Open for the 2026-27 School Year

The Homeschool Connection Program offers curriculum and academic support for grades K-8 tailored to your students needs, while preserving the flexibility and freedom of your at-home schedule.

If you are interested in learning more about the program, please join us on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Room at the Williams Administrative Building. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and meet the dedicated staff who support the program.
