We were especially grateful for the days students were able to get outside and play! This is a busy and exciting time of year as they enter their final marking period, continuing to learn the standards they need before the end of the year. It’s a careful balance of focused instruction and meaningful, hands-on experiences, including field trips and engaging activities. At the same time, state tests, benchmarks, and other assessments help us measure and celebrate the growth they’ve made throughout the year.

As we move through these important weeks, we encourage students to keep working hard and doing their best each day. Getting plenty of rest each night will help them stay focused, feel their best, and be ready to learn and show what they know!

Students in grades 3 through 5 will soon take the ILEARN Assessment, an important measure of their progress toward grade-level standards. Please review the testing dates carefully and make sure your child is present and on time each day. During this busy time of year, with many distractions outside of school, encourage your child to get plenty of rest and come prepared to do their best on the ILEARN Assessment.

NOTE: Students will not be permitted to enter or leave the classroom once testing has started for that session. Please plan appointments accordingly. Thank you!

IMPORTANT - Changes in Transportation IMPORTANT - Changes in Transportation

Contact Front Office at your child's building

If there is a change in your child's transportation, whether they will be picked up or riding a bus, it MUST be communicated with the front office. This can be done by sending a note to school or calling the office. If you call the office, please make sure you speak with a person. There is a central list at each elementary school, which allows us to check when students are unsure and the teacher may not be available. Do not just send a message to the teacher. The office MUST be notified. Thank you!

NOTE: Transportation changes should be in to the office by 2:00 pm.

A friendly reminder: for the safety of our students, please remember to bring your photo ID whenever you visit the school for any reason, including student pickup, lunch, or meetings.
