What's Up Thursday ...

In this week's episode, you'll find the Jacobsen household filled with excitement for my baby's acceptance to her #1 university choice! She and I have been online after school all week filling out orientation paperwork, reviewing schedules, planning for dorm décor on Pinterest ... dad has been making reminders to call his friend with restaurants in her college town to secure her a job. Typical parent rolls.

I'm not sad, I'm excited for her new adventure. It feels a bit like my adventure too. I received my Associates degree and my husband received his Bachelor's through extension courses. We're quite new to the university life. Picking dorms, financial aid, class registration, activities, fees, fees, fees, fees .. oh and fees. Good lord. You'd think the high schools would communicate with the universities about the fact that graduation expenses, prom, pictures, parties all happen the same time as registration fees, housing fees, river rafting fees, 3-day leadership college prep camping trip fees.

I'm handling it all in my organized manner. Once again, I don't know how any of this was getting done when I was working full time.

So I say congrats to my sweet girl on her college acceptance! And the next part of the Jacobsen journey begins!
