Seek opportunities through success and failure
ESports
These students participated with our Fighting Falcon Esports Team. Both Chess and Rocket League had players that advanced to the playoffs. It has been amazing to watch the students grow as teammates and individuals.
All things start with good character
Pre-K
Mrs. Distrola's PreK class joined Mrs. Jensen's Kindergarten class for a Kid Writing session. We listened to the Eric Carle story, Ten Little Rubber Ducks, and wrote about an adventure our ducks might take. Kindergarten students helped PreK students with writing and spacing. Great job, PreK!

Business 9
As part of Business 9 all 9th Grade students participated in Mock Interviews with local community members to practice their skills. In preparation, students researched careers they might be interested in and created their first resume. The students did a great job and thank you to community members Chrissy Tingley (Cole Manor/Physical Therapy), Katrina Rimel (sm business owner), Det. Delp Coudersport State Police, Tyler Robinson (GFS), Jordan Parker (Marine Biologist), Brent Bryant (IT for the CTC) and Dr. Levey and Dr. Womack from UPMC Cole for giving their time to conduct these interviews.
Grades 3-6
Students and teachers in grades 3-6 worked hard to prepare for PSSA testing. They were ready, willing, and able to tackle the tests online again for the second year. Kudos to all teachers in tested grade levels for going above and beyond to ensure our students felt confident and comfortable with these assessments!

Grade Four
Fourth Graders recently completed an Earth Day project entitled, "We Can Make a Difference." They learned about land pollution, air pollution, water pollution, oil spills, reusing, recycling, and composting. Students worked with a partner to research a topic, create a written report, develop a commercial that was read on morning and afternoon announcements, conducted a local action plan, and presented their projects to their classmates. Some of the local actions that were completed were students picking up litter, composting, planting trees, planting flowers at the school, and putting recycling bins in our 4th Grade classrooms.
