Bordeaux Elementary School

Dear Bordeaux Families,

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out to join us for conferences last week. We had many classrooms at 100% participation. Our home/school connection is what helps make Bordeaux great. It’s important for our students to see the teachers and families working together. Though conferences have ended, please don’t every hesitate to reach out if questions or concerns come up. We have four and a half weeks between now and Thanksgiving Break, so lots of learning to accomplish between now and then.

New Bark

Thank you to our PTSO volunteers and Mrs. Graham and Ms. Gottlieb for spreading 30 yards of bark for our playground. They gave up a few hours of their Saturday to help get this work done.

Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, October 27th

Students must bring their original packet to exchange for taking a new picture. Students who were not at school on picture day will have their picture taken. The attached flyer has online ordering information or you can contact the Bordeaux office for an order form.

Harvest Carnival

This Friday is our Harvest Carnival from 6:00 – 7:30. Just a reminder that our teacher leadership team has asked that students not wear their costumes to school but instead come celebrate that evening in full costumes – with adults also included in the festivities.

Here is information from our PTSO:

🎃🍁 Bordeaux's Harvest Carnival is almost here! 🍁🎃

Join us Friday, October 30th, from 6:00–7:30 PM for a fun-filled evening of games, prizes, candy, a photo booth, and more! 🎟️🍬

🎟️ Tickets are 4 for $1!

🍂 Presale Tickets: October 29th & 30th from 3:15–3:45 PM at parent pick-up!

👻 Costumes are encouraged, but please leave costume weapons at home.

Bring the whole family for an evening of fall fun! We can't wait to see you there! 🧡🎃

Book Fair

Our Book Fair was a big success! Thank you to all the parent volunteers that helped at the book fair and for every family that stopped in to shop or just to say hi. It was a wonderful fundraiser for our library!

Fall Fundraiser

Our PTSO Fall Fundraiser continues through October 30th. Our goal is $10,000 that will be used for field trips, playground equipment, and more. You can register at www.FundPrizes.com.

Bordeaux Commitments

Teachers will provide Tier I interventions and reinforcement for positive behaviors through Bulldog Tickets, Puppy Paws, and verbal recognition to support the following of agreed upon expectations to increase students’ desire to attend school.

We commit to a community of whole staff buy-in to teaching and enforcing the expectations by being consistent with our implementation of Tier I systems and structures.

When we do this, students will experience clear expectations with an emphasis on the why.
