Letter from Mr. V Letter from Mr. V

Dear Jaguar Community,

I will begin again with appreciation. Thanks to all who came out Friday evening for our annual Spring Concert and Art Night. Student performance and creativity were center stage, and you all were in strong attendance to support and celebrate. A huge thanks is due to Mr. Mears (music teacher), Ms. Magoon (art teacher), and Ms. Newberg (4th grade teacher) for their work with our students and their organizational efforts. Way to go Jaguars!

Speaking of opportunities for our students, 6th graders have a big one coming up this week! Tomorrow, our 6th graders head off to Camp Hulbert for three days of team building and opportunities to play, explore, and gather as a team before their send off to 7th grade. The bus departs at 8:00 Monday morning. Students should arrive between 7:30 and 7:50 to ensure adequate time for information and loading. Parents are welcome to wave students off, and parents who plan to do so should park in the larger lot on the east side of the building and walk up to the loading zone at our main entrance. Thanks to all who have helped to fund and plan this experience for our oldest students.

Lastly, I'll make another plug to have folks attend the upcoming principal/community outlook discussion. Please join me in our library on Wednesday, 5/13 at 5:30 for a discussion of the vision for next year at JES. I would also like to shout out Isabelle Sullivan for arranging to have an international soccer opportunity for area children. See the flyer below to learn more and register for the upcoming Brazilian Summer Soccer Camp.

For Johnson,
