Dear DR Families,

The holidays are just around the corner — and we’re excited to announce that Holiday DReams 2025 is officially underway!

Once again, the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District is partnering with the Greater Attleboro Council for Children to bring joy and comfort to local families through the Christmas is for Kids program. This wonderful initiative helps ensure that every child in our community experiences the warmth of the season with gifts and winter essentials.

Important Dates:

• Families who have previously participated in Holiday DReams or Christmas is for Kids must apply by Friday, November 8, 2025.
  
  

• Families who are new to the program have until Friday, November 21, 2025.
  
  

Applications are available at each school and at the Superintendent’s Office, or you can download one online. Please be sure to return your completed application with all required documentation in a sealed envelope by the appropriate deadline.

If you would like to support this effort, donations are welcome! Your generosity helps us make DReams come true for even more children this year.

Today, Ms. Lopez and Mr. Brundage’s 8th Grade Band and Chorus students had an amazing opportunity to join the DRRHS ensembles for a collaborative rehearsal! Our students had a fantastic time rehearsing alongside the high school musicians, learning from their leadership, and feeling inspired by the experience. 💚💛

We’re excited to share the culmination of our work at the upcoming concerts:

Please make sure students bring their Chromebooks to school every day. We have a limited number of loaners available, so it’s important that each student brings their own device fully charged and ready to use.

The administrative team will pick certain home games that all students are welcome to stay and cheer their friends on. We welcome all students to stay after school on December 1st to cheer on our basketball teams at their first home game. We hope to see everyone there!

For other games:

We want to take this opportunity to remind families that DMS students are more than welcome to return to DMS to watch their friends play basketball/baseball/softball. However, they should take their regularly scheduled transportation home and return for the game if they would like to watch.

Games do not begin until 3:15/3:30 p.m., and school staff is not always after school to monitor students between the end of the day and the game. With that, it is important to note that school staff is also not always in attendance at soccer/softball/baseball games, so it is recommended that students come to the game with an adult.

Bloom Bus Co. has asked us to let you know that students must be out at bus stops ten minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Students cannot wait inside the house, or on the porch, etc. They must be out at the bus stop. Being in position when the bus arrives keeps the district on schedule.

If your child will need to take medication during the school day, please ensure the following steps are taken:

✅All required forms are completed

✅A doctor's note is submitted to the school health office.

✅Prescription medications must be provided in their original packaging, clearly labeled with the student’s name, the name of the medication, and the correct dosage.

🚫 Medications cannot be transported to school by students. We kindly ask that parents or guardians contact the school health office to arrange an appropriate time to drop off any necessary medications. You can reach her at dwilkins@drregional.org
