Please continue to stay posted for updates regarding any potential extensions, as the district closely monitors weather conditions.
Please stay warm and stay safe.
Lions of the Month π¦
Congratulations to Januaryβs Lions of the Month! Students will hear their name LOUD AND PROUD in Wednesday morning's announcements. They don't know they've won yet, so please keep it a secret until then! If you are the proud parent of one of these students, you are invited to join us in the office to hear the morning announcements at 7:30!
After announcements, your child will receive a goody bag and Lions of the Month t-shirt (designed by two of our very own students!).
Please send your child to school on Thursday, the 29th in this shirt. IF YOUR CHILD HAS EVER WON LIONS OF THE MONTH, PLESE SEND THEM TO SCHOOL THURSDAY IN THEIR SHIRT! We are all going to wear them to honor this monthβs winners!
Congratulations, students and parents! For the whole month, your child's poster will be featured on our bulletin board. At the end of the month, I will send it home, so you can show it off to everyone!

STAAR NIGHT 2026
3rd-5th Grade Parents,
Join us for STAAR Night on Wednesday, January 28th. Teachers will be leading sessions discussing what students should expect on the STAAR and share strategies and resources kids can use at home.
We'll have childcare for school aged students downstairs so parents can focus on the teachers' sessions. Pizza will be provided before the sessions in the cafeteria from 5:30-6. Please use the QR code on the flyer or click here to RSVP so we have enough pizza available.
**Note, this is a new date! We will no longer have STAAR Night on Thursday, January 29th as previously scheduled.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Heather Grosso at hgrosso@houstonisd.org
