Celebrations & Highlights
Kennedy & Hoover Groundbreaking
Students at Hoover and Kennedy Elementary couldn’t wait any longer to celebrate the start of construction at their schools. Last week, on a beautiful spring day, they marked an exciting milestone as Mankato Area Public Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony at both sites.
The event celebrated the beginning of construction on new secure entrance additions, an important improvement designed to enhance safety while also creating more welcoming and accessible front entry spaces for students, staff, and visitors.
These upgrades are part of the community-supported 2023 facilities bond, which focuses on strengthening safety, security, and learning environments across the district. The district is grateful for the continued support of the community and looks forward to seeing these projects take shape in the months ahead as Hoover and Kennedy’s new entrances come to life.
