Hillside Happenings
December 12, 2025
Dear Hillside Families,
What a wonderful week we had! We are so proud of our students and want to thank you for your continuous support.
🌟 Student Leaders Shine Bright
We were incredibly proud of our student leaders who participated in the recent "Teacher Believed in Me" Event. They were poised, articulate, and shared truly insightful comments about our school. Their reflections were inspiring! As a staff, we are looking forward to reading Teacher Believed in Me to find more insights and "gems" that will help us grow.
🎉 Looking Ahead: End-of-Year Celebrations!
Next week is filled with exciting celebrations and end-of-year events!
First Grade Safari: A highlight is always the First Grade In-School Safari! Get ready for some wild fun as the students wrap up their learning unit.
Pizza Parties: Congratulations to Mrs. Belsky and Mrs. Lamott's classes! They will be enjoying their well-deserved pizza parties & ice cream for winning the recent canned food drive.
Gingerbread Houses: We can't wait to see some of the creative designs that our littles create. This is always such a fun time of the year.
📚 Important Wrap-Ups & Reminders
Book Blast Success: Thank you! Our Book Blast program wraps up this week, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generosity. Your support helps put new books directly into the hands of all our students!

🟢Donate Your Shoes & Clothing 🟢
As we begin to transition from summer to fall, don't forget to bring your items to our bin. Donate your old clothes, shoes, & linens. Donated items are recycled, and our school receives a donation. The bin is located on the west side of the parking lot.
What is Clothes Bin?
Clothes Bin® is a textile recycling program that partners with schools to turn unwanted clothing, shoes, and textiles into funding for student needs. Our bright green bins are conveniently located on campus and equipped with smart technology to ensure timely service. Every bag you drop off reduces waste in landfills and, more importantly, provides direct funding for programs, resources, and activities that benefit our students all year long.
How You Can Help
• By dropping gently used clothing, shoes, and textiles in the Clothes Bin® on campus,
you keep items out of landfills and give them a second life.
• Every bag of textiles you bring in generates real funding for our school’s programs, classrooms, and
activities.
How Our School Benefits
• Enrichment programs
• Classroom resources
• Student activities and events
The Clothes Bin Program focuses on textiles only — toys, books, and household items can be
recycled or donated through other local programs.
