Historical Thinking Skills

Mr. Boh's students worked together to decorate their classroom door with historical thinking skills!

Working together on this door allowed them to build foundational knowledge. Any student who passes by in the hall can learn about essential questions, supporting questions, contextualization, close reading, and corroboration.

9/10 was World Suicide Prevention Day, where the SPF team took the opportunity to engage with students about mental health and the 988 lifeline. Students and staff wore purple and teal to show support. Airheads were distributed to students stickered with “You Matter” labels, encouraging them to write a kind note and then pass it forward. A heartfelt thank you to Perfetti Van Melle for their generous donation and support in promoting student mental health. Throughout the rest of the month, the SPF team will continue to sponsor the “You Matter” initiative at both schools, raising awareness and education surrounding suicide prevention. Together, we can make a difference!

📞 Call or text to 988 for help, available 24/7. For more information click here.
