New for 2026-27: The Bulldog Basics
Last Spring, we brought together a group of stakeholders representing our students, staff, parents, and community to create The Bulldog Basics. This list of 9 tenets is the foundation of being our best personally and professionally, directly related back to The Bulldog Way. This year, we will teach and model The Bulldog Basics in all learning and extracurricular spaces. We need help from our families, Burkburnett citizens, and businesses because we truly want The Bulldog Basics to meaningfully impact not only our schools but our greater Bulldog community! Thank you in advance for helping us live out The Bulldog Basics!

HB 1416 Parent Request for Teacher Process
According to HB 1416, school districts are required to give parents of students in grades 4 - 12 who did not meet passing standard on STAAR or an EOC exam in Spring 2026 the opportunity to request a teacher.
In order to comply with the legislation, if your child did not meet passing standard on STAAR 3 - 8 or they did not meet passing standard on an End of Course Exam at the high school level, you may fill out this parent request survey at the link below:
Parent Request for Teacher Survey: Click HERE
STAAR 3-8 and High School EOC results are already in the Skyward Family Access Portal: CLICK HERE
When you log into the Family Access Portal, look at the top right corner and click on "District Links" to find the assessment results. (reference picture above)
Please do not call your child's campus to make a request. Additionally, according to Texas House Bill 1416, districts are only required to consider parent requests. So, the requests are not guaranteed to be granted. This survey will close on Monday, Aug. 3rd at midnight.
Thank you for partnering with us to educate your children!
