School Library Month is a time dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the importance of school libraries and the essential role they play in education. School libraries serve as safe and welcoming environments where students can explore their interests, conduct research, collaborate on projects & develop critical thinking skills. From fostering a love for reading & supporting academic success to providing resources for students and teachers, the library is the place to be!

We have some fun library events happening this month to celebrate! Check out the details below!

A clear library account means:

The 26-27 invitation process for the National Junior Honor Society is in full swing! Students who qualified received their 'invitation to apply' letter the week of March 30th.

How do you qualify? Eligibility is based on a 90% cumulative average in ELAR, History, Math, and Science. This is calculated by averaging the Semester 1 grade with the Quarter 3 grade.

In addition to academics, we celebrate students who demonstrate the four pillars: Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship.

Mark your calendars with the due dates & email katy.duke@rcisd.org with any questions.
