We want to honor our Community Veterans!!
We want to take a moment to recognize and honor the veterans who are part of our Rocky Ford community. Whether currently serving, previously enlisted, living, or deceased, we want to acknowledge their service, sacrifice, and contributions to the freedoms we enjoy.
During our upcoming assembly, we would be honored to recognize these individuals by reading their names aloud as a way of showing our gratitude and appreciation.
We invite you to join us in honoring those who have served. If you would like to submit the name of a veteran to be recognized during our assembly, please click on this form link,
Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate the heroes in our community!
The NED Show
Never give up ~ Encourage others ~ Do your best!
For over 25 years, we’ve used yo-yo tricks in our school performances. This bit of old-fashioned fun helps us be entertaining and unforgettable in the mind of a child as we share how “NED” learns to never give up, encourage others and do his best.
We also share that while yo-yoing is cool and simple, it’s not always easy. Everyone who learns to yo will make mistakes along the way. Students are told that if they try yo-yoing, it’s important to learn from mistakes and never give up. Teachers and parents often see children practice persistence and find great fulfillment in doing their personal best as they learn to yo with NED. Best of all, this “NED mindset” is infinitely transferable to school subjects!
Yo-yo's for you!
And, what is super-cool is that yo-yo's will be available for sale through November 10.
Order forms are also avalable at the school.
Where is the NED Zone? And other expectations.
The ned zone for yo-yo's is the grassy field south of the playground. Students must be 6 feet apart so the yo-yo cannot reach another individual when extended at full-length. Yo-yo's can ONLY be used at lunch recess through November 10 (this week, Monday and Tuesday).
If students hits another student with their yo-yo or it is out at any other time besides lunch recess, teachers will confiscate it, and it may be returned at the end of the day. If it is confiscated a 2nd time, it will be kept by the classroom teacher and sent home on Nov. 10.

Protective Covers for Chromebooks
All student-issued Chromebooks include a protective cover that is required as part of the Chromebook insurance plan. Removing the cover voids the insurance, and families may be responsible for repair or replacement costs if damage occurs while it is removed.
Please remind your student to keep the protective cover on at all times to help protect the device and support learning.
