The ConVal School District is proud to announce the launch of a new, advanced website to further strengthen communications with parents and community stakeholders. The website update offers users an array of innovative features, including an easy way to toggle between school and district news, an online calendar showing school and district events in one integrated view, as well as one-button access to frequently used items like meal menus, online payments, and the PowerSchool parent portal. Designed with a mobile-first approach in mind, the website can be downloaded to smartphones as a secure app. ConVal's Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Rizzo Saunders noted: "The new website marks a significant improvement that allows us to communicate more effectively with the public and provides new opportunities to engage parents in our school communities." The website is set to go live officially on January 5.

We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. The PTO is hard at work planning fun events for our FES kids and families. First up is the return of Crazy 8s Math Club! This isn't the math clubs we grew up with. Crazy 8s lets kids have fun with math while running, jumping, making messes and doing fun things like Toilet Paper Olympics, Bouncy Dice Explosion and Spy Training. Crazy 8s is open to all 1st - 4th graders and will take place on Mondays after school from 3:30 - 4:30 beginning on Jan 8. Please see the attached permission slip for more details.

Mrs. B.'s Class
Good and Services
Our week of kindergarten and first grade has been busy. Students practiced our classroom routine
and we reviewed our classroom rules and expectations. The boys and girls are working on listening
the first time and keeping hands to self. We will be practicing those as we go into next week as well. We started learning about goods and services this week. We will wrap up our study next week.
Grade 2 Comes Back with a Splash!
Happy "Noon" Year
We began working on resolutions for 2024. We read the story ‘Most Marshmallows’ and then we brainstormed some ideas/goals that we could work towards throughout the year! We then made our “coffees” and had a small celebration to toast to the New Year!
Mrs. Doell's Third and Fourth Graders
Digging Into New Hampshire History
Mrs. Doell's class has been traveling through time. They have been learning about the history of our state.
A Word From Ms. Brett
Digital Citizens and Ladybug Awards
This week in Library we finished up the Ladybug Book Awards. The winner was Noodle and the No Bones Day by Jonathan Graziano. We have also begun a unit on Digital Citizenship. Kindergarten and First Graders are learning about how to use technology safely and find a balance between screen and non screen activities. Second grade has been learning about keyboarding as well as how they can control their digital footprint. Third and Fourth Grade have been learning about private vs. personal information and coding posters to share personal (but not private) information about themselves. Next library rotation we will continue to work on digital citizenship and coding activities.
