A Message from Nurse Susan
Parent Health Portal: Look for the introductory letter sent Tuesday March 5.
Student Attendance During Illness: There are times when a student should remain at home for their own welfare and the protection of other students. Your student should remain at home if they have: Uncontrollable and/or productive cough Fever over 100.0 degrees fahrenheit within past 24 hours Vomiting or diarrhea within past 24 hours Sore throat and swollen glands Undiagnosed rash or skin eruptions Earache, severe headache or drainage from eyes Students should remain home for 24 hours after an acute illness or after starting antibiotics for a diagnosed infection. They should also be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, etc). These absences can be excused with a note from a student's health care provider. After your child has improved, it is very important for them to return to school. When students miss extended periods of school, we begin to worry about them missing out on school work and social relationships. Our teachers follow rigorous curricula that build upon each lesson, so missing many days can lead to confusion. Additionally, they miss out on time with friends and can feel left out after an extended absence. REQUEST: The Nurse's office is looking for outgrown leggings, sweatpants and T-shirts.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
Support the Peirce Snack Program
The Peirce Snack Program, supported by Arlington EATS, provides snacks to any child who needs one (for any reason) so there is no stigma attached to getting a snack at school. Snacks are available in the classrooms and in the main office.
Support The Snack Program: If you have the ability, please consider supporting our snack program by donating snacks. Over the last year demand for snacks has increased significantly while donations have declined. You can purchase off the Amazon wish list by clicking the button below, or by donating snacks or money directly. Donations are welcome throughout the school year.
Dear Parents,
In the depths of winter as we begin to imagine spring is on the horizon we are preparing for next year. Attached is the enrollment form for Arlington After-School Program for the 2024-2025 school year.
The form should be returned to the school by Monday March 25th. Please return it either as a hard copy or as an attachment to a separate email to aasppeirce@arlington.k12.ma.us. Please do not respond to this email with your registration, as it's easy for it to get lost in the email thread.
We will process the forms as quickly as we can and will be getting back to everyone by April 1st to let you know your status.
We are including the enrollment policy. Please look it over. If you have any questions you can contact your site coordinator (aasppeirce@arlington.k12.ma.us) or Todd Morse (tmorse@arlington.k12.ma.us).
Please be sure to circle your school at the top right of the form.
We will be looking forward to new and returning families joining the program in the fall.
Thank you

Please be sure to check out our google photos for your students lost sweatshirts, water bottles and lunch boxes. The lost and found is already overwhelmed with items.
