Join a Strategic Plan Committee
As part of the ongoing process to monitor and support the Glen Ellyn School District 41 Strategic Plan for 2025-2027, we are forming committees aligned with each of our four Strategic Priority Goal Areas. Each committee will include up to six parents and six staff members who are interested in contributing their perspectives and expertise. The committees will meet two or three times a year and each member will serve for two school years taking the district through the final year of the plan.
If you are interested in serving, please complete this form by Monday, September 15.
Thank you for your consideration. #WeAreD41

Safety Information and Reminders
Congestion around our landlocked schools combined with narrow streets in Glen Ellyn can be a challenge and impacts the safety of students coming to and from school. District 41 continues to partner with the Glen Ellyn Police Department and parents on safety matters. As always, the Glen Ellyn Police Department will be present at schools as often as possible during drop off and pick up times. Here are a few reminders for parents and kids related to safety:
Discharge students on the passenger side of vehicles instead of on the active roadway drivers side
Watch carefully for students riding bikes and scooters to and from school
Remind students to follow the rules of the road and be aware of vehicles on the roadways when riding their bikes and scooters
Ordinance Regulates Bikes, E-Bikes, and Scooters
from glenellyn.org
The Village of Glen Ellyn has adopted a new ordinance designed to address the growing use of bicycles, low-speed electric bicycles, and personal micro mobility devices such as electric scooters within the Village. Adopted by the Board of Trustees on April 28, 2025, the ordinance aims to improve safety, accessibility, and clarity regarding the use of such devices in public spaces.

Abraham Lincoln School - September 25
Upcoming Program at Glen Ellyn Public Library
Discuss the needs, concerns, and opportunities that are frequently experienced by siblings of people with disabilities, and how Sibshops and other practical strategies can support them. Caregivers for children with disabilities and a typically developing child may wonder about the typically developing child’s experience as a sibling. Siblings are in a unique position to be lifelong advocates for the needs of their brothers and sisters with disabilities, and information and support at an early age are important. Led by adult siblings of people with disabilities who are trained Sibshop facilitators. For caregivers of children with disabilities.
Sibshop for Siblings of Children with Disabilities
Connect with other kids who share the experience of having a brother or sister with a disability. Laugh, talk, play games, do activities, and discuss your shared experiences. Discussion topics may include how to answer questions about your siblings' differences, how to handle big feelings, and how to navigate your role as a sibling. Led by adult siblings of people with disabilities who are trained Sibshop facilitators. For siblings age 7-12 of children with disabilities.
