Asa Packer - Leader in Me Lighthouse School
We are proud to celebrate our school’s designation as a Lighthouse School, a distinction awarded through the Franklin Covey Education Leader in Me process. Lighthouse Schools are recognized for successfully implementing leadership principles that empower students to take ownership of their learning, set goals, and develop essential life skills.
This recognition reflects a sustained commitment to a positive school culture, strong instructional practices, and a shared vision among staff, students, and families. Becoming a Lighthouse School is not a one-time achievement, but an ongoing journey of growth, collaboration, and excellence. We are proud of the dedication that made this possible.
Assignments/Class Lists
Teacher assignments for the 2026–2027 school year will be communicated in mid-August, approximately one week before the start of school. This information will be readily available in ParentVUE.
Please remember that teacher requests are not accepted. We have procedures in place for classroom assignments. Please note that staffing may change for the upcoming school year. Requests are also not accepted for placing students with their friends.
Lost and Found
Is your child missing a favorite jacket, a cozy sweater, or a pair of shoes? Our lost and found is overflowing with clothing, and we'd love to reunite it with its owners before the year wraps up! Please encourage your child to take a look. Their missing piece might be waiting there.
Contact Information
If you move over the summer, please submit updated contact information to the Main Office. This will allow mailings to be sent to the correct address. Verification of residency will be needed to update an address in the district system.
Supply Lists for 2026 - 2027
Supply lists for the 2026 - 2027 school year will be posted on our school website.
Transportation
Any questions pertaining to transportation should be directed to that particular office. Information regarding district transportation for the 2026-2027 school year will be mailed to your home directly from the Transportation Office in mid-August. The Transportation Department can be reached at 610-861-0360.
Chromebooks
All students will keep their chromebooks over the summer. If your child is moving, chromebooks should be returned to the school.
It is critical your child/children charge their Chromebook periodically throughout the summer to avoid battery issues. Please remind your child/children to follow the attached Chromebook Summer Care document to avoid having issues with their Chromebook when school begins. If the Chromebook has a problem during summer, please go to any BASD school website and click the Student Chromebook/IT Help link to enter a ticket for assistance. Thank you.

A MESSAGE TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY:
As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of our amazing families for your continued support of the PTA and our fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Your generosity, time, participation, and encouragement truly mean so much to us. Because of your support, we are able to provide enriching experiences, special events, helpful resources, and so many memorable opportunities for our students and staff. Without you, our school would not be the incredible place it is.
Every fundraiser supported, event attended, volunteer hour given, and donation made has helped strengthen our school community and make a positive impact on our children’s experience at Asa.
We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being such an important part of what makes our school so special. We hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing, and well-deserved summer!
A MESSAGE TO THE 2025/26 PTA BOARD FROM THE PRESIDENT:
As we come to the end of this school year, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank my incredible board members: Brittany Wuest, Kelsey Long, Jacey Reid, Kaitlyn VanWhy, and Stacy Long for everything you have done for the Asa Packer PTA this year.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff members: Mr. Horvath, Mrs. Weber, Miss Garza, Miss Murphy, and Miss Wall. The PTA could not function without your unwavering support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. Your willingness to help, guide, and support our efforts means more than words can express.
A very special thank you also goes to Ms. Diomedo, our wonderful school secretary, for always being there to support the PTA in so many ways. From holding our money, sorting our mail, fielding phone calls, keeping us organized, and helping with countless day-to-day tasks, you have truly been the glue that helps keep everything running smoothly. Your kindness, patience, and willingness to always help never go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for everything you do for our school and PTA.
Serving as PTA President for my first term has been such a memorable and rewarding experience, and that is because of all of you. Your dedication, support, teamwork, and willingness to always step up made such an incredible impact on our school community. Even though we did not have a full board this year, everyone came together, helped wherever needed, and truly went above and beyond to make this a successful year.
Because of your hard work, creativity, and commitment, we were able to accomplish so much together, including raising the most money our school has made in many years. That is such an amazing accomplishment and something each of you should be incredibly proud of. None of it would have been possible without your countless hours, ideas, sacrifices, and support.
Thank you for believing in our school, our students, and in one another. Thank you for making every event, fundraiser, meeting, and activity something special. Most importantly, thank you for making my first year as President one that I will always remember and cherish.
I am beyond grateful for each of you and so proud of everything we accomplished together this year. Wishing you all a wonderful summer filled with rest, happiness, and time with your families. You truly made a difference.
The PTA would also like to officially introduce and welcome the newest members of the Asa Packer PTA Board for the 2026/2027 school year — Tyler Long, Amanda Evans, Dawn Henshaw, and Jen Black!
We are so excited to welcome each of you to the board and truly look forward to working together this summer as we begin planning an exciting school year filled with fun activities, memorable events, and opportunities for our students and families.
You have already done so much to support our school this year, and we know you will each be an amazing addition to our team. Your willingness to jump in, help out, and support our school community has not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful.
Welcome to the Asa Packer PTA Board! We cannot wait to see all the wonderful things we will accomplish together this coming year.

Parking Lot - Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
Please Review and Follow the Procedures Below to Ensure Student Safety at All Times
To help maintain a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process, we kindly ask all families to follow these important guidelines:
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminders:
-
You may either:
-
Park in the lot and walk your child across the bus lane using the crosswalk, or
-
Use the student drop-off lane, allowing your child to exit the car and walk along the sidewalk to the building.
-
-
If you need to get out of your car to assist your child, please park in a designated parking spot. Do not stop or leave your vehicle in the drop-off lane.
Safety Guidelines:
-
Always use crosswalks—both students and adults.
-
Cars are not permitted in the bus lane at any time.
-
Only park in designated parking spaces—do not park or idle along curbs.
-
When picking up your child early or at dismissal, please walk to the building to meet them.
-
Do not leave children unattended outside the building before or after school hours.
-
Follow all posted signs—these procedures are enforced for everyone’s safety.
-
No pets are allowed on school property at any time.
Please do not block access to the handicap parking spaces during drop-off. We have families who rely on those spaces, and at times, they are unable to pull in due to vehicles obstructing the area.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in keeping our students safe!
