Bellerive Bulletin

Dear Bellerive Families,

It's been a great first week at Bellerive! I've enjoyed seeing our Leaders and their smiling faces. The students worked hard learning the routines and procedures for their new classrooms while their teachers facilitated friendships among students and fostered strong classroom communities. Some of the highlights of the week are featured in the photos below. They include students and teachers creating classroom mission statements, 3rd graders celebrating the 3rd day of school, 5th graders learning about the power of yet, and students enjoying our "Game On, Lead Strong" theme for the school year. For more photos of the first week, please visit Bellerive's Facebook page!

I hope to see many students and families at PTO's Back to School Picnic on Friday night at Millennium Park. All the details are in the flyer below. It's going to be a fun event!

All parents are invited to Open House next Thursday. The event will begin with a presentation in the gym followed by sessions in individual classrooms. Classroom presentation #2 is a repeat of Classroom presentation #1 for parents/guardians who have more than one child at Bellerive. The times are listed in the flyer below.

Thank you,

Joey Kneer,

Don’t let two missed days define your year! Research shows that most students with just two absences in the first month of school go on to miss more than 25 days total. Start the year off strong by making sure students are in school whenever they are not sick! Help us meet our 95% schoolwide attendance goal for the year!
